RAROG joins the Unmanned Systems Forces

In September 2025, the 427th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems “Rarog” joined the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF). This is a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created in 2024 for the use of aerial, maritime (surface and underwater) drones, as well as ground-based unmanned robotic systems in combat. We now stand shoulder to shoulder with such well-known combat units as “Magyar’s Birds,” “Nemesis,” “K-2,” and others.

The “Steel Swallow” is the symbol of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), which embodies the fragile but unbreakable Ukrainian spirit and reminds us of Ukraine’s victorious future in the war against the aggressor. The USF is the world’s first separate branch of the military to use air, sea, and ground drones and robotic systems, and the “steel swallow” symbolizes their emergence and the news of victory.
